PayPal suffered a massive outage on Thursday, leaving thousands of users unable to access their accounts.
By midday, over 6,000 complaints were logged on Down Detector, with nearly 90% reporting login failures.
Many users speculated that the platform had been hacked, though no evidence has surfaced to confirm this.
“It feels like a meltdown. I can’t log in, and their call center is unreachable,” one frustrated user wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
Reports indicated that the disruption began around 11:00 am GMT, affecting users worldwide.
Some customers expressed fear, mistaking the outage for a cyberattack.
One user tweeted, “I thought my PayPal was hacked, but it’s down for everyone.”
Another commented, “This gave me such a scare. I thought someone had stolen my account.”
Despite the chaos, PayPal has not released an official statement explaining the outage.
The incident has raised concerns about the reliability of digital payment systems.
As the platform struggles to resolve the issue, many users have called for better communication and support during such disruptions.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has accused Russian President Vladimir Putin of using Ukraine as a “missile testing ground.”
Zelenskyy made the claim after Russia launched a missile with apparent intercontinental ballistic capabilities.
In a post on X, Zelenskyy said investigations were ongoing to determine the missile’s exact capacity.
“Today, our insane neighbor has revealed its true nature again,” he wrote.
He described Russia’s actions as driven by “fear,” saying, “Fear so overwhelming that it unleashes missile after missile.”
He accused Putin of being terrified of Ukraine’s desire for independence and dignity.
“Putin will do anything to keep Ukraine under his grasp,” he said.
The attack comes amid rising tensions between Ukraine and Russia.
The United States recently approved Ukraine’s use of long-range missiles, escalating the situation further.
Zelenskyy thanked Ukrainians for their resilience in the face of what he called “evil.”
He emphasized the need for global solidarity in confronting Russia’s aggression.
