Passengers on a Max Air flight, including Borno State Deputy Governor, Alhaji Umar Usman Kadafur, narrowly escaped a disaster when the aircraft’s engine caught fire mid-air.
The incident occurred on Wednesday evening, shortly after the plane took off from Maiduguri International Airport.
Reports indicate that the flight, bound for Abuja, faced trouble about 10 minutes into its journey.
