Dr. Paul Enenche and his wife, Dr. Mrs. Becky Enenche, Senior Pastors of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, visited the Kuje Medium Security Correctional Centre in Abuja today.

Their visit was not just a routine humanitarian gesture but a powerful combination of spiritual support and legal assistance aimed at offering inmates a fresh start.

Accompanying the Enenches was a distinguished legal team led by Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), P.H. Ogbulu, along with Barrister Felix Tyokase, Barrister Lydia Jim Ibu, and other legal professionals. The team provided pro bono legal services to help inmates who could potentially be released through legal means.

“We are here to offer legal assistance to those who need it most,” said one of the lawyers. “Through this initiative, we hope to secure the freedom of those who are eligible for release.”

The couple’s humanitarian efforts were not limited to legal assistance. At the facility’s Chapel of Freedom, Dr. Paul Enenche delivered an inspiring sermon to the inmates titled “The Forces of Freedom.” His message was filled with transformative principles aimed at helping the prisoners reshape their future.

“Liberty happens when mentality is changed,” Dr. Enenche preached passionately. “Your impact after here can delete your setbacks, and if your prison doesn’t stop your praise, your praise will bring you out of your prison.”

Dr. Becky Enenche also played a significant role during the visit, offering heartfelt prayers for the inmates. She prayed against addictions and ancestral curses, urging the prisoners to tap into the transformative power of prayer and faith. Her words left many inmates with renewed hope.

The public relations officer of the Kuje Correctional Centre, AS Duza, expressed deep gratitude for the Enenches’ visit. He noted that their presence at the facility was an answer to the prayers and needs of the inmates.

“The Enenches have shown love and kindness,” Duza said. “Their visit today has brought light to a place that can sometimes feel dark. They have not only brought legal assistance but also spiritual hope.”

As part of their visit, the Enenches were given a tour of the facility’s various skill acquisition programs. The programs, which include tailoring, laundry, shoemaking, soap making, and salon services, are designed to help inmates gain valuable skills for reintegration into society once they are released.

“The programs here are excellent,” said Dr. Paul Enenche. “They show that even in captivity, people can be trained and equipped for a better future. This is a place of second chances.”

The correctional facility’s senior officers, including DCC Aminu Abubakar, CSC Oke, Chibuzor Ogunde, AC Yakubu, Sarki Norma, and the chapel’s chaplain, warmly welcomed the couple. Their leadership was visible in ensuring that the visit went smoothly and was deeply appreciated by both the inmates and the staff.

A particularly moving moment came when food supplies and relief materials were presented to the inmates. The distribution of food brought visible smiles to the faces of the incarcerated individuals. For many, this gesture provided more than just sustenance; it served as a reminder that they had not been forgotten by society.
