    Pregnant Woman, 14 Others Killed After Plateau Christmas Security Meeting

    Just days before Christmas, a deadly attack claimed the lives of 15 individuals in Gidan Ado village, located in the Ganawuri Chiefdom of Riyom Local Government Area (LGA), Plateau State.

    The victims, including a pregnant woman and children, were killed around 8 p.m. on Sunday, just 34 hours after a security meeting was held to ensure a peaceful Christmas celebration.

    Mr. Ezekiel Bini, the National President of the Irigwe Youth Development Association, confirmed the attack and condemned it as barbaric. He stressed that such coordinated killings were unacceptable, especially just before the holiday season.

    He called on security agencies and the government to take immediate action to address security challenges and protect citizens in the lead-up to Christmas and the New Year.

    The incident has also drawn the ire of local leaders. HRH Yakubu Chaiman, the Ata Aten of Ganawuri Chiefdom, and Clement Chup, the National President of the Ateng Development Association, both expressed their outrage and condemned the killings.
