Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has congratulated Remo Stars on their historic Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title win by donating ₦10 million to the club.

Osimhen, who plays for Napoli in Italy’s Serie A, gifted ₦5 million to the players and another ₦5 million to the technical crew in recognition of their determination and outstanding performance throughout the season.

He praised the team’s fighting spirit, describing it as inspiring and worthy of national celebration. The 25-year-old forward, known for his support of grassroots football, said he was proud of Remo Stars’ accomplishment.

Remo Stars made history by becoming the first club from Nigeria’s Southwest region to win the NPFL in 25 years, ending a long wait since Julius Berger’s title in 2000. The victory marks a major milestone for the Ikenne-based club and a significant moment in Nigerian football.

Osimhen’s generous gesture is being widely celebrated as a strong message of encouragement to local teams and a reminder of the unity football can bring.
