The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Monday inaugurated 39 new members into its Board of Trustees (BoT) in a move aimed at strengthening the party’s internal leadership and preparing for future political challenges.

The inauguration ceremony took place at the PDP national secretariat in Abuja and was led by the BoT Chairman, Senator Adolphus Wabara. He said the new members, nominated by their respective states and zones, were selected based on their loyalty, experience, and service to the party.

Wabara described the event as “a new beginning” and urged the appointees to serve with integrity, unity, and commitment to the party’s vision. He added that the BoT’s role is to support the party’s leadership and act as a stabilising force during uncertain times.

“This is not just a position of honour, but one of responsibility,” Wabara said. “The task ahead is demanding, but with unity and commitment to democracy, we shall overcome.”

Acting PDP National Chairman, Umar Damagum, represented by acting National Secretary, Setonji Koshoedo, congratulated the new members and reaffirmed the support of the National Working Committee for the BoT.
