The Ondo State Security Network, known as Amotekun Corps, has smashed a child trafficking and organ-harvesting syndicate that operates between Ondo and Anambra states.

The security outfit acted swiftly after a young boy named Eriponmile was reported kidnapped from the Ijoka Davog area of Akure, the state capital. Acting on intelligence, Amotekun tracked the child to a hospital in Anambra State, where he was about to be harvested for organs.

Amotekun Commander, Adetunji Adeleye, said the rescue was possible due to immediate response and undercover operations. “We received a distress call and moved fast. Within 48 hours, we discovered the boy had been taken out of Ondo. Our team tracked him to the East, where we found him in a hospital, medically cleared for harvesting,” he said.

The suspects paraded include Amaka Ngozi Ifeanyi, Adaeze Kenneth Etose, and Omolara. Two other members of the gang are currently on the run.

According to Commander Adeleye, the boy was reunited safely with his parents after being rescued.
