Three members of a local vigilante group have been killed by armed bandits in a deadly ambush near the Kaduna International Airport area. The attack, which took place on Wednesday evening, has left residents in fear as gunfire echoed through the community.

According to local sources, the vigilantes were on a routine patrol when they ran into the gunmen, who opened fire without warning. All three vigilantes died on the spot before help could arrive.

The attackers are believed to have fled into the nearby bush, escaping before security reinforcements could reach the scene. Their identities remain unknown, and no arrests have been made as of the time of this report.

This latest attack has sparked renewed calls from residents for stronger security presence and better protection for vigilante members, who often operate with limited resources and face constant threats from armed criminals.
