In a story that’s turning heads across continents, a 68-year-old British woman, Kay, has tied the knot with Ablack, a 25-year-old Nigerian man she met on Facebook, defying a 43-year age difference and a wave of public criticism.
The unusual couple made their love story public in an episode of Love Don’t Judge produced by “Truly,” where they detailed how a casual social media interaction blossomed into a full-blown romance, and eventually marriage.
Kay, who resides in the United States, said it all started when Ablack liked one of her Facebook posts. “He went from somebody who liked my post to my very best friend,” she explained. “I could tell him everything. Our connection kept getting stronger and stronger.”
Though Kay has been married three times before, she admitted she was initially hesitant due to fears of being scammed — a common concern when older women get involved with younger men online, especially across international borders. But those fears faded when she finally met Ablack in person.
Just three days after their first meeting in real life, Ablack proposed — and she said yes. That made Ablack her fourth husband, a fact that has added even more fuel to the public debate surrounding their relationship.
Their love, however, has not been welcomed by everyone. The couple says they regularly face judgment and cruel comments in public and online. “People have called me crazy. Some say I look like his grandmother,” Kay revealed. “But I don’t feel old when I’m with him. I feel young — like a teenager.”
Ablack, who lives in Nigeria, said the relationship was actually foretold. “A prophet once told me I would marry a white woman. And here she is,” he said confidently.
Still, the young Nigerian has faced tough accusations from the public, including suggestions that he married Kay just to secure a US green card. Comments online have been harsh. One social media user wrote, “Be careful, girl. Scammers can be ‘in love’ too!” Another mocked, “The prophet’s name is Visa.”
Others have accused Kay of being his “sugar mummy” or claimed she must be wealthy enough to support Ablack and his family. But both Kay and Ablack have stood firm in defending the legitimacy of their love.
“He treats me like a queen. I’m his priority,” Kay said, beaming with joy. “I’ve never felt this kind of love before. This is the one I was meant to be with — I just had to wait a long time for him to be born.”
Despite the doubts, sneers, and viral jokes, the couple appears unfazed. They say they’ve built something real and are determined to prove that their love is not about age, race, or borders — but about connection, trust, and shared dreams.
Though long-distance living continues to be a challenge, they remain committed to closing that gap. Whether their love story ends in triumph or tragedy, Kay and Ablack have become a bold example of unconventional relationships in the social media age — challenging norms and sparking conversations around love, age, and cross-cultural romance.
