The government of Qatar has confirmed that it successfully intercepted a missile attack launched by Iran’s Revolutionary Guard on Al-Udeid Air Base, home to Qatari forces and U.S. military personnel. No injuries or deaths were reported.

The missile strike is being described by Qatar as a serious violation of its sovereignty, airspace, and international law. The Gulf nation strongly condemned the attack, calling it a “brazen act of aggression.”

Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that its air defenses neutralized the threat before it could cause damage. The base had already been evacuated earlier as a precaution due to growing tensions in the region.

“This was a direct attack on our territory,” said Dr. Majed Al-Ansari, the official spokesperson for Qatar’s foreign ministry. “We reserve the right to respond in a manner appropriate to the scale of the aggression.”

The incident comes amid rising instability in the Middle East, with ongoing clashes between Iran and Israel adding to the tension. Qatar warned that continued military actions like this could push the region into deeper crisis, threatening peace and security on a global level.
