Cristiano Ronaldo Extends Al Nassr Contract Until 2027

    Share

Portuguese football legend Cristiano Ronaldo has signed a new contract with Saudi club Al Nassr, extending his stay until 2027.

The 40-year-old, who joined the club in January 2023, said he feels at home in Saudi Arabia and is excited to continue his journey with Al Nassr. As part of the new deal, Ronaldo will reportedly have a say in the club’s transfer decisions.

Announcing the contract extension, Ronaldo said: “A new chapter begins. Same passion, same dream. Let’s make history.”

Ronaldo’s initial deal was set to expire at the end of this month, but his impressive form both at club level and with the Portuguese national team has convinced him to stay on. He recently helped Portugal win the Nations League and believes playing in the Saudi Pro League will keep him in shape ahead of the 2026 World Cup, where he will be 41.

Despite offers from other clubs, including teams participating in the Club World Cup, Ronaldo chose to remain at Al Nassr, saying he believes the standard of football in Saudi Arabia is steadily rising.
