The Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau I. Jibrin, and former APC National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, have arrived in Madina, Saudi Arabia, ahead of the burial of the late elder statesman and business mogul, Alhaji Aminu Dantata.
According to a statement by Ismail Mudashir, Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Deputy Senate President, Barau and Ganduje left Abuja on Monday evening and landed at Prince Mohammad Bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madina at 5:15 a.m. Saudi Arabian time on Tuesday.
Other prominent Nigerians in the delegation include Kano State APC Chairman Prince Abdullahi Abbas, Senator Muntari Dandutse, Deputy Minority Leader of the House of Representatives Rt Hon. Ali Madaki, and Hon. Sani Bala.
Family members such as Ahmad Munzali Dantata, a son of the late businessman, were also present, alongside federal lawmaker Engr. Hamisu Ibrahim Chidari and Usman Yahaya Kansila.
Alhaji Aminu Dantata, a renowned philanthropist and industrialist, passed away in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, over the weekend. He is set to be buried in Madina, near his late wife, Rabi’a, who died last year.
