Ahmed Musa Takes Over as Kano Pillars GM

Super Eagles forward, Ahmed Musa, has pledged to return Kano Pillars Football Club to winning ways following his appointment as the club’s new General Manager.

Musa’s appointment was confirmed by the Kano State Government on Saturday, just weeks after the club wrapped up a disappointing 2024/25 season.

The 32-year-old, who played for Pillars last season and scored 10 goals in 23 appearances, said he is committed to reviving the club’s fortunes and restoring its status as a top force in Nigerian and African football.

Kano Pillars finished ninth in the just concluded Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season and also failed to impress in the President Federation Cup.

Speaking to the club’s media team, Musa said, “I want to assure everyone here that, with your support and the backing of the board members, I will do everything possible to reposition the club and make it one of the finest not only in Africa but globally.”
