Several passengers were injured on Monday after a serious accident involving a Toyota Camry and a commercial bus (Danfo) on the 3rd Mainland Bridge in Lagos.
The crash happened shortly before Adekunle Junction, heading toward Lagos Island. According to eyewitnesses, the bus somersaulted several times after the collision, leaving many of its occupants with injuries.
The Lagos State Rapid Response Squad (RRS) confirmed the incident in a statement, noting that no lives were lost.
“RRS bikers and patrol teams responded immediately, giving first aid to victims. Officers from the Adekunle Police Division also assisted in the rescue efforts,” the statement read.
Emergency response teams were quickly mobilised to the scene, helping to evacuate victims and clear the road. Normal traffic flow was later restored.
Authorities have urged motorists to drive carefully, especially on busy routes like the 3rd Mainland Bridge.
