Four Killed in Early Morning ‘Hit And Run’ Accident in Ogun

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Ogun State has confirmed the death of four people in a hit-and-run road accident along Oke Iganmu, Ilaro.

Ogun Sector Commander of FRSC, Mr. Akinwumi Fasakin, revealed the tragic incident occurred at about 3:50 a.m. on Monday. The crash involved a yellow tricycle (registration number DED425WB) and another unknown vehicle that fled the scene.

According to Fasakin, the four victims —two men and two women, all passengers in the tricycle — died at the crash site. Their bodies have been taken to the State Hospital morgue in Ilaro.

FRSC officers from the Ilaro Unit responded quickly to the scene for rescue operations.

The sector commander blamed the accident on speeding and dangerous driving. He expressed deep condolences to the families affected and urged all road users to always practice safety on the roads.
