Top Nigerian music stars Davido and Shallipopi thrilled thousands of fans at the opening night of the 2025 Afro Nation Festival in Portugal on Wednesday.
Afro Nation is a major global music festival that celebrates African music and culture. It began in 2019 and has since grown into a world-famous event attracting international audiences.
On the first night of this year’s edition, Shallipopi excited the crowd by performing his hit song ‘Lahoo’ and inviting his siblings and fellow artistes on stage.
Davido, one of Nigeria’s biggest music exports, closed the night with back-to-back hits including ‘If’, ‘Fall’, ‘Dami Duro’, and ‘Fia’, drawing loud cheers from the crowd.
Organisers shared a video of his performance on Afro Nation’s official page, saying: “OBO OUR HEADLINER!! @davido closed our day one of #ANP2025 with the biggest and BADDEST energy 001 would bring!”
The three-day event continues with Nigerian singer Tems expected to perform on Thursday night, while Burna Boy, Kamo Mphela, Booba, and Dexta Daps will take the stage on Friday to wrap up the festival.
