The federal government has approved the promotion of 95 top management officers across four paramilitary agencies — the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Federal Fire Service (FFS), and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).

Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, Minister of Interior, announced the promotions in a statement on X, following a recent board meeting that also addressed disciplinary issues and recruitment plans.

The board approved disciplinary actions against 224 officers from the same agencies found guilty of various offenses. These measures underscore the government’s commitment to maintaining discipline and professionalism within the paramilitary services.

Additionally, the board agreed to form a committee tasked with developing a harmonized Scheme of Service for the four agencies to ensure uniformity and improve service delivery.
