Napoli has entered fresh direct talks with Turkish club Galatasaray over the possible sale of Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen.
According to renowned football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, the Italian club has now shown interest in Galatasaray’s latest offer and discussions are ongoing to finalize the deal this week.
Romano revealed in a post on X (formerly Twitter) that Galatasaray’s current bid includes €40 million upfront, with two further payments of €17.5 million each in installments.
However, Napoli is demanding revised payment terms and strict bank guarantees before they can agree to the deal.
“New direct talks underway today for Osimhen deal ahead of crucial week,” Romano posted. “Napoli are open to this solution but insist on different payment terms and bank guarantees.”
Victor Osimhen, 26, is reportedly eager to join the Turkish giants, having already turned down a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal.
The Nigerian forward, who helped Napoli win the 2022/2023 Serie A title, is seen as a key target for Galatasaray, who are looking to bolster their squad for European competitions.
