Nollywood has lost one of its respected stars, Tom Njemanze, who passed away at the age of 75. The veteran actor died on Friday after a long battle with prostate cancer.
Tom Njemanze was well-known for his outstanding roles in some of Nollywood’s classic movies from the 1990s and early 2000s. His powerful acting could be seen in popular films like Tokunboh, Pounds and Dollars, Atosa, Issakaba, Osuofia in London
His expressive delivery and strong screen presence made him a household name and earned him a special place in the hearts of many Nigerian movie lovers.
Before his death, fellow filmmaker Stanley Ontop had shared a video on Instagram revealing that Njemanze had been diagnosed with prostate cancer and needed financial support for urgent surgery.
