Nigeria’s U-20 team, the Flying Eagles, will take on Côte d’Ivoire in the final of the 2025 WAFU B U-20 Championship on Wednesday.
Côte d’Ivoire booked their place in the final after a hard-fought 2–1 victory over host nation Ghana in the semi-final match played on Sunday night in Prampram. Ghana’s Benjamin Tsivanjo gave the Black Satellites an early lead, but the Baby Elephants came from behind to win.
Earlier, the Flying Eagles edged the Republic of Niger 4–3 on penalties after a goalless draw in regulation time. The Nigerian side, who are the defending champions, will now aim to retain their title in the final showdown.
The match is expected to be a thrilling encounter between two of West Africa’s strongest youth teams.
