    Players of Nigeria’s Super Falcons have paid a hospital visit to South African footballer Gabriela Salgado, who was seriously injured during a recent match between Nigeria and South Africa.

    The warm gesture, shared through the Super Falcons’ official social media handle, showed Nigerian players standing by Salgado’s bedside and wishing her a speedy recovery.

     “We wish Gabriela Salgado a speedy and full recovery,” the post read.

    Salgado, a key member of Banyana Banyana (the South African women’s national team), sustained a serious injury during the intense clash between the two African rivals. The injury sparked concern among both teams and fans, as she had to be taken off the pitch for medical attention.

    In an unexpected but heartwarming show of support, Nigerian fans at the stadium began chanting Salgado’s name after she was stretchered off, applauding her efforts and expressing sympathy.
