Hakeem Baba Ahmed, a political commentator, has called on Atiku Abubakar, former Vice President and frequent presidential candidate, to step aside and support fresh leadership in Nigeria.
In an interview with AIT, Baba Ahmed said Atiku should stop aspiring to lead the country and instead act as a father figure by bringing in new blood to Nigerian politics.
He also suggested that other prominent politicians like Rotimi Amaechi and Nasir El-Rufai should do the same, urging El-Rufai to manage his ego if he wants to join this new political movement.
Baba Ahmed’s remarks highlight growing calls for generational change and fresh ideas within Nigeria’s political landscape, as many seek alternatives to long-serving politicians.
