The Ondo State Security Network Agency, known as Amotekun Corps, has recovered stolen goods worth over N300 million after busting a major robbery gang operating across state lines.

Commander of the Corps, Adetunji Adeleye, disclosed this while parading seven suspects at the Amotekun headquarters in Alagbaka, Akure. According to him, the suspects were part of a group that specialized in stealing phones and electronic gadgets in Lagos and transporting them to Ondo State for resale.

Adeleye said the items were stolen from a company and hidden inside a vehicle headed for Akure. One of the suspects boarded the same bus and later moved the goods into an empty carton during a stop to refuel.

He added that Amotekun operatives intercepted the suspects and recovered the stolen items.

In another operation, Adeleye revealed that two kidnap victims were rescued after a 96-hour search in the forest. The victims had been abducted along Itagbolu road in Akure North about six days earlier.

Adeleye praised the victims’ families for their cooperation and said the Corps maintains a zero-tolerance policy for ransom payments. He also noted that most recent kidnap cases in the state have been resolved without money changing hands.

The Commander assured residents that Amotekun will continue to fight crime across Ondo State and protect lives and property.
