Army Kills 2 Boko Haram Fighters in Borno Ambush, Foils Supply Mission

Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have killed two Boko Haram terrorists in an ambush in Bula Daburu village, located in Bama Local Government Area of Borno State.

The operation, which took place around 6:00 p.m. on Monday, was part of Operation Desert Sanity IV, a military campaign aimed at disrupting terrorist logistics and movements in the North-East.

According to military sources, the soldiers laid an ambush at a suspected crossing point used by insurgents to move supplies. On sighting the terrorists, the troops opened fire, killing two fighters instantly, while others fled with gunshot wounds.

Several logistics items were recovered from the scene after the operation.

The Nigerian Army has recently intensified its efforts in the North-East, targeting supply routes and hideouts of Boko Haram and ISWAP fighters. The military says these actions are crucial in weakening the capacity of the insurgents and restoring peace to the region.
