Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, has assured citizens that no local government area in the state is under the control of bandits or terrorists.

Speaking during a media briefing at the New Government House in Little Rayfield, Jos, on Tuesday, the governor addressed concerns over insecurity in parts of the state. He stated that although there have been isolated cases of violence in areas like Riyom, Bokkos, Bassa, and Mangu, the situation is not as bad as some reports suggest.

“I want to make it clear that there is no LGA in Plateau State controlled by bandits,” Mutfwang said. “Yes, we’ve had challenges, but we are making progress.”

He compared the security situation in Plateau with other northern states like Zamfara, Niger, Sokoto, Nasarawa, Katsina, and Kebbi, noting that Plateau remains relatively safer.
