Maresca Hints at Jackson’s Exit After New Striker Signings

    Share

Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has suggested that the club may let go of striker Nicolas Jackson this summer.

Jackson, who joined Chelsea in 2023 for around £32 million and scored 10 Premier League goals last season, now faces tough competition after the club signed two new forwards, Joao Pedro and Liam Delap.

Maresca said this could mean Jackson’s position as the first-choice striker is under threat. He told reporters, “Nico is okay. When the transfer window is open, unfortunately or fortunately, anything can happen.”

Reports suggest that Newcastle United are interested in signing Jackson after missing out on their other striker targets.

Chelsea appears ready to sell Jackson if they receive a good offer, as they strengthen their attack with the new arrivals.
