Cristiano Ronaldo’s longtime partner, Georgina Rodriguez, has sparked engagement rumours after flaunting a large diamond ring on Instagram. But the football star says they are not engaged at least not yet.
Georgina, 31, shared a photo of the huge rectangular stone on her finger with the Arabic caption: “And keep evil away from us, Amen.” Though the couple have been together since 2016 and share two daughters, Alana and Bella, they are still not officially engaged.
Ronaldo, 40, recently addressed the delay during a Netflix interview, saying:
“I always tell her, ‘when we get that click.’ It could be in a year, six months, or a month. I’m 1000% sure it’ll happen.”
Despite public appearances where Ronaldo often refers to Georgina as his “wife,” including at the 2024 Globe Soccer Awards in Dubai, the two are yet to make their relationship official.
On her reality show “I Am Georgina,” Rodriguez revealed that her friends often tease her about the wedding. “They’re always joking about it… But this is not up to me,” she said.
The couple live in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where Ronaldo currently plays for Al-Nassr Football Club.
