Nigeria international Samuel Chukwueze may be on his way out of Italian giants AC Milan as the club considers transfer options before the summer window closes.
AC Milan’s director, Igli Tare, confirmed that the Serie A side is open to letting Chukwueze leave if a suitable offer comes in.
Tare revealed the club is currently assessing transfer possibilities for Chukwueze and fellow midfielder Yunus Musah. “Chukwueze and Musah could still leave this summer, it is a possibility. We are evaluating the best option for us,” he said, according to Italian football outlet Soy Calcio.
Since arriving in Milan in 2023, Chukwueze has found it difficult to break into the first team. He is currently behind Portuguese star Rafael Leão and American forward Christian Pulisic in the club’s attacking lineup.
Chukwueze has attracted interest from clubs in both the English Premier League and Spain’s La Liga. Fulham, who came close to signing him during the final days of the January transfer window, are said to still be interested. Spanish side Real Betis are also monitoring the situation.
With just days remaining before the summer transfer window closes on September 1, discussions are expected to intensify. AC Milan will be keen to finalise any potential sale quickly, especially if they plan to bring in replacements.
A move to Fulham could give Chukwueze a fresh start in the Premier League, while a return to Spain—where he built his reputation at Villarreal may offer him a more familiar environment to revive his form.
Chukwueze has been a regular name in Nigeria’s Super Eagles squad, known for his speed, dribbling, and flair on the wings. However, limited club appearances could affect his form ahead of crucial international fixtures, including the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
