    Falconets Hammer Rwanda 4-0, Advance in U-20 World Cup Qualifiers

    Nigeria’s Falconets have booked their place in the final qualifying round for the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup after a commanding 4-0 victory over Rwanda. The match took place on Saturday at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan.

    The Nigerian side, coached by Moses Aduku, secured the second qualifying round with a 5-0 aggregate win, following their earlier 1-0 victory in the first leg.

    The Falconets wasted no time taking control of the game. Precious Oscar opened the scoring for Nigeria in the 13th minute, setting the tone for the match. Just seven minutes later, Tumininu Adeshina doubled the lead, giving the home crowd much to cheer about.

    In the second half, the Falconets continued their dominance. Janet Akekoromwei added a third goal, putting Nigeria comfortably ahead. Later, substitute Taiwo Afolabi capped the scoring with a well-taken goal to complete the 4-0 rout.

    The victory means Nigeria will now face the winner of the tie between Senegal and Algeria in the final qualifying round for the U-20 Women’s World Cup.
