    Female Police Officer Abducted, Found Dead in Kwara

    Residents of Oloje-Ogidi area in Ilorin, the capital of Kwara State, were gripped with fear on Friday after the body of a female police officer who was abducted a day earlier was discovered dead in a bush.

    The deceased officer, a Woman Inspector (W/INSPR) and prosecutor attached to the Ogidi Police Division, was reportedly kidnapped by unidentified attackers on Thursday. Her lifeless body was found early Friday morning in the Oloje area, according to credible police sources.

    Although details remain unclear, it is believed that she was killed shortly after her abduction. The motive and identity of her killers are still unknown as of the time of this report.

    The tragic incident has sparked panic among residents of the Oloje and Ogidi communities. Many expressed concerns over the increasing rate of violent crimes in the state, particularly in Ilorin and surrounding areas.

    “This is frightening. If a police officer can be kidnapped and killed like this, what is the hope for ordinary people?” a local resident, who asked not to be named, said.
