Big Brother Naija Season 10 winner, Imisioluwa Ayanwale, popularly known as Imisi, has expressed her frustration over repeated questions about how she plans to spend her N150 million grand prize.
The 23-year-old reality star, who recently emerged as the winner of the popular reality TV show, said she is constantly being asked about her next steps, which she finds exhausting.
Speaking in a recent interview, Imisi was asked what question she’s most tired of hearing since her BBNaija win. She replied:
“People keep asking, ‘Now that you’ve won the money, what’s next for you?’ or ‘What do you want to do with the money?’ It’s like the same question everywhere I go,” she said, sounding visibly drained.
Imisi’s response reflects the overwhelming attention and pressure that often comes with sudden fame and fortune, especially for young winners of major reality shows in Nigeria.
Since her win, Imisi has been in the spotlight, attending events, interviews, and media rounds. However, she made it clear that she wants to take her time before making major financial decisions.
She had earlier disclosed her intention to seek professional financial advice before investing or spending the prize money. According to her, being young and new to wealth, she prefers to be guided by experts to avoid costly mistakes.
“I want to be smart about this. I’ve said before that I’ll get financial experts to help me plan. I’m not in a rush,” she said in a previous interview.
Imisi made history as the winner of BBNaija Season 10, beating several housemates to walk away with the N150 million grand prize, which includes N120 million in cash and additional prizes such as a car and a trip.
While her fans have been eager to know her next moves, Imisi is calling for space and patience, urging people to let her settle into her new reality.
Her comments have sparked discussions online about the expectations placed on reality show winners and the pressures they face from fans and the media immediately after their victory.
