President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of five new Permanent Secretaries to fill existing vacancies within the Federal Civil Service.

The announcement was made on Monday in Abuja by the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HCSF), Mrs Didi Walson-Jack, through a statement signed by the Director of Information and Public Relations, Mrs Eno Olotu.

The newly appointed Permanent Secretaries are Ibrahim Ozi (Federal Capital Territory), Ezemama Chidiebere (Imo State), Garba Usman (North Central), Mohammed Ishiyaku (North East), and Ukaire Chigbowu (South East).

According to Mrs Walson-Jack, the appointments were made after a rigorous, merit-based selection process designed to promote excellence, transparency, and professionalism in line with President Tinubu’s vision for a reformed Civil Service.

The Head of Service explained that the selection process involved a series of assessments and interviews to ensure that only the most competent and qualified officers were chosen.
