    50 Escape Unharmed as Blaze Popular Abuja Fitness Centre

    A fire broke out at a popular fitness centre in Abuja on Wednesday morning, forcing dozens of people to flee for their lives.

    The blaze erupted around 10 a.m. at Eco Fitness Hub in Gwarinpa, one of Abuja’s busiest areas.

    Approximately 50 people were inside the fitness centre when the fire started, many of them engaging in their regular exercise routines.

    Witnesses say the fire started in the lounge area before rapidly spreading throughout the building.

    “There were about 50 people inside when it began, but everyone managed to escape,” a gym member recounted.

    Firefighters arrived on the scene roughly 30 minutes later and were met with a challenging battle as the flames continued to spread.

    With two fire trucks and teams working tirelessly, the firefighters struggled to contain the blaze.

    The intensity of the fire left large sections of Eco Fitness Hub in ruins.

    By the time the fire was subdued, much of the fitness centre had been destroyed.

    As of the time of this report, no injuries or casualties have been reported.

    Officials have yet to determine the cause of the fire, and an investigation is underway.

    The sight of the flames and heavy smoke pouring out of Eco Fitness Hub caused panic among bystanders and gym-goers alike.

    Many people gathered outside the gym, anxiously watching the firefighters and sharing their relief that everyone made it out safely.

    Eco Fitness Hub is widely known in Abuja for its state-of-the-art equipment, spacious workout areas, and a wide variety of classes.

    The fitness centre attracts a large crowd daily, especially during morning and evening peak hours.
