APC Breakaway Group Moves to Form New Political Party, Seeks to Rescue Nigeria

A faction of the All Progressives Congress (APC), under the banner of the Team New Nigeria (TNN), has announced its intention to form a new political party that aims to steer Nigeria away from its current state of poverty, hunger, insecurity, and devastation.

This bold move was revealed by the group’s National President, Modibbo Yakubun Farakwai, during the official inauguration of the Kano State harmonisation committee on Monday.

“We understand that our people are hungry for change, but they are not looking only for a change in government. They want a political party with new faces replacing old ones,” Farakwai declared.

According to him, Nigerians are no longer satisfied with the old political order and are calling for a complete overhaul of the system.

“They want to see a change in the culture and efficacy of governance,” he added. “They want genuine change in the way government functions at all levels.”

The announcement has already stirred considerable attention across the nation, with TNN claiming that it has the support of over 26 million Nigerians. The group claims it has registered 26,382,000 voters who have signed up for its cause, hoping to build a new Nigeria free from bad governance, corrupt leaders, and selfish political officeholders.

“This movement is about restoring Nigeria’s dignity,” said Farakwai. “Today, every responsible Nigerian is looking beyond the APC government. We are preparing for the future with earnest dedication, and we are committed to offering not just an alternative government but an alternative culture of governance.”

The formation of TNN has already gained traction, with the group unveiling its logo, flag, manifesto, and constitution. Farakwai also confirmed that they had engaged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), informing them of their desire to register the TNN as a political party.

“Through this nationwide program of rallies, we are starting a new dialogue with the good people of Nigeria,” Farakwai explained. “We aim to provide leadership that will prioritize democracy and the needs of the Nigerian people.”

The group has also pledged to continue pushing for the registration of more members, with Kano State receiving additional registration materials.

“Our Membership Registration form is free and not for sale,” Farakwai emphasized, urging Nigerians to take advantage of INEC’s resumption of continuous voter registration.

TNN’s drive for change has gained significant support, with members from various walks of life – including different professions, tribes, and religions – uniting under the banner of brotherhood, patriotism, and love for a greater Nigeria.

“We are not just a political movement; we are a national revolution,” Farakwai stated. “Together, we will rewrite the story of Nigeria.”

The movement, which is spreading its reach across the six geopolitical zones of the country, has already established administrative and mobilization structures in all 36 states, the Federal Capital Territory, and in the 774 local government areas across the nation.

In the coming weeks, TNN plans to roll out its agenda with the presentation of its manifesto, book, and a dedicated newspaper, marking the next step in its mission to reshape Nigeria’s political landscape.
