Flight Delays Triggering Violent Behaviour at MMA2 – Operator

    Share

Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Limited (BASL), the operator of Murtala Muhammed Airport Terminal 2 (MMA2), has raised concerns over increasing incidents of unruly and violent behaviour by passengers due to recent flight delays and cancellations.

BASL issued a statement highlighting the unacceptable nature of these actions, which violate the expected standards of conduct within the facility.

The company acknowledged the frustration of passengers but urged them to address grievances through the proper channels, as outlined in Part 19 of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Regulations (Nig.CARs).

These regulations define the rights of passengers and the responsibilities of airlines, travel agents, and tour operators.

Reiterating its zero-tolerance policy, BASL warned that violent or disruptive behavior will result in immediate legal action, including prosecution and the potential inclusion on no-fly lists.

BASL also appealed to passengers to cooperate with airport staff and exercise patience, particularly during the busy yuletide season.

It urged anyone witnessing inappropriate behavior to promptly report it to security personnel to maintain a peaceful and respectful airport environment.
