As preparations heat up for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Area Council elections, the Acting National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Umar Damagum, has issued a strong warning to party members against anti-party behaviour.

Speaking during the official presentation of nomination certificates to PDP candidates at the party’s FCT Secretariat, Damagum made it clear that any form of disloyalty would not be tolerated. He was represented at the event by Abdulrahman Mohammed, the PDP Vice Chairman for the North-Central zone.

According to Damagum, the party’s disciplinary committee is ready to take action against anyone caught working against PDP interests during the upcoming council polls.

“Any misbehaviour will no longer be tolerated. If anyone feels they are not ready for this task, they should step aside immediately so we can replace them without delay,” he said.

He further warned that campaigning or collaborating with other political parties would be treated as an act of sabotage, adding that such members would face disciplinary action.
