Popular Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has confirmed that her office in Lagos was gutted by fire on Tuesday evening.
The incident happened around 7 p.m., but thankfully, no lives were lost.
Ojo shared a video of the aftermath on her Instagram page, expressing gratitude to the Nigerian Fire Service and her staff for their quick response in managing the damage.
“This just happened today around 7pm. My office caught fire,” she wrote. “Thanks to the Nigerian Fire Service and my staff for salvaging what was left. Thankfully, no lives were lost. The devil tested us, but God said no. With God on my side, we will bounce back bigger and better.”
While the exact cause of the fire is yet to be confirmed, the actress assured her fans that she is safe and hopeful for recovery.
This incident comes just weeks after Iyabo Ojo’s daughter, Priscilla Ojo, celebrated her wedding to Tanzanian singer Juma Jux. The actress is known for her roles in Yoruba and English-language films and has also made a name for herself as a businesswoman.
