Napoli Turns Down Galatasaray’s €70m Bid for Osimhen

    Share

Napoli have rejected a fresh €70 million offer from Turkish champions Galatasaray for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, insisting on a minimum of €75 million before any deal can be done.

The offer, submitted on Friday, July 11, came with bank guarantees for full payment. However, Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis turned it down, maintaining a firm stance on the valuation of the 26-year-old forward.

Osimhen, who joined Napoli from French side Lille in 2020, played a key role in helping the club win the 2022/2023 Serie A title, scoring 26 goals in the campaign. Despite a less explosive performance last season, he remains a top target for European clubs due to his strength, finishing ability, and goal-scoring instincts.

Galatasaray, looking to boost their squad ahead of the 2025/26 season and defend their Turkish league title, see Osimhen as a marquee signing who can lead their attack in domestic and European competitions.

Though Napoli currently have the upper hand with Osimhen’s contract running until 2026, sources suggest the striker is open to a new challenge, possibly adding pressure as the summer transfer window continues.
