The Nigeria National League (NNL) has announced that the 2025/2026 football season will begin in October.
This was made known following a strategic meeting held by the league body on Friday in Asaba, Delta State.
The NNL also scheduled its Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the last week of August. The AGM will serve as a platform to finalize preparations and set the roadmap for the upcoming season.
In the just-concluded 2024/25 campaign, Warri Wolves emerged champions after defeating Wikki Tourists 3-2 in the final.
As a result, Warri Wolves, Wikki Tourists, Barau FC, and Kun Khalifat FC earned promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
The new season promises to build on the competitiveness and excitement seen in the last campaign.
