Popular Afro-beats singer, Stanley Omah Didia, also known as Omah Lay, has advised up-and-coming musicians to follow his lead if they want to make it big in the music industry.
In a post on his official X (formerly Twitter) handle, the Soso hitmaker wrote:
“Dear new generation, study and copy me, you will reach there quick.”
Omah Lay, who rose to fame with hits like Bad Influence and Understand, has consistently positioned himself as a leading voice in the new wave of Afrobeats. He previously stated that he has created a new sound that will soon define the future of the genre.
His message is seen by many as both encouragement and a challenge to emerging artists to take their craft seriously and learn from those already making waves in the industry.
Since his breakout in 2020, Omah Lay has gained international recognition and worked with top global artists, making him a symbol of success for many young musicians in Nigeria and across Africa.
