Popular Nollywood actor Timini Egbuson has said he is not a womaniser, contrary to what many people think about him.
The 38-year-old actor made this known during a recent episode of The Culture League podcast, where he featured alongside Nigerian footballer Victor Boniface and comedian Bovi.
Timini explained that his tight acting schedule and age no longer allow him to live a playboy lifestyle, even if he wanted to.
“A lot of people assume that I’m a womaniser. But I’m not. In the past two, three years, Nollywood has taken over my life in a way that there’s no room,” he said.
He added, “I even wonder how some of my friends who date four or five girls at the same time manage. I’m on set all day and come back home tired at 11 p.m. I don’t have the energy to be chatting with women after that.”
Timini also revealed that he has been single for about two to three years. Despite the public perception, he said he’s not bothered and actually enjoys the “bad boy” image that people associate with him.
Egbuson has starred in several hit movies and series, including Shuga, Elevator Baby, and Big Love, and is known for playing confident and charming characters—something that may have contributed to his womaniser tag.
