The Emir of Gudi in Fika Local Government Area of Yobe State, His Royal Highness Isah Bunuwo Madugu Ibn Khaji, has died.
Family sources confirmed that the monarch passed away on Thursday at Nizamiye Hospital in Abuja after a prolonged illness.
He was the 19th Emir of the Gudi Emirate.
His funeral prayer is scheduled to take place on Friday at 2:00 p.m. in Gadaka town, Fika LGA, Yobe State.
Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, is expected to attend the burial alongside other dignitaries.
Yobe State has 14 emirate councils, all led by first-class traditional rulers. The late Emir of Gudi was one of the respected figures in the state’s traditional leadership structure.
