France Football, the organisers of the prestigious Ballon d’Or award, on Thursday released the full list of nominees for the 2025 edition.
The list features some of the world’s top football stars, with French forward Kylian Mbappe, Spanish teenager Lamine Yamal, and PSG’s Ousmane Dembele tipped as frontrunners for the award.
Other nominees include Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham, Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane, PSG’s Achraf Hakimi, Arsenal’s Viktor Gyokeres, Barcelona’s Robert Lewandowski, Manchester City’s Erling Haaland, Borussia Dortmund’s Serhou Guiarassy, and Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martinez.
The shortlist was compiled by top football journalists from across the world and published on France Football’s official social media pages.
The 2025 Ballon d’Or ceremony is scheduled to take place at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris on September 22.
The Ballon d’Or is one of football’s most respected individual honours, awarded each year to the best-performing male footballer based on achievements over the past season.
