President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of Ms. Rinsola Abiola as the new Director-General of the Citizenship and Leadership Training Centre (CLTC). The announcement was made on Monday by Bayo Onanuga, the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy.
Rinsola Abiola, known for her experience in strategic communications and government relations, previously served as a Senior Special Assistant to the President. Her appointment is seen as part of Tinubu’s efforts to strengthen leadership development and civic training among Nigerians.
In a related move, the President also appointed Nasir Bala Aminu Ja’oji as Senior Special Assistant on Citizenship and Leadership. Ja’oji, who once served as Special Adviser on Mobilisation to the Kano State Governor, is also a member of the Coordinated Arewa Youth Groups’ Governing Council.
He is widely known for his work in youth and women empowerment, especially in Northern Nigeria.
The Citizenship and Leadership Training Centre, under the Federal Ministry of Youth Development, plays a key role in promoting national values, civic responsibility, and leadership training among young Nigerians. The new appointments are expected to boost the centre’s activities and outreach.
