Comfort Emmanson, the Ibom Air passenger who was recently held in custody, has said she is still in pain and requires medical treatment. She made this known in a post on her Instagram page (#soft\_commy) shortly after her release on Wednesday.
In her message, Emmanson thanked Nigerians who supported her during her time in detention. She promised to share her side of the story once she is in better health and able to speak clearly.
She wrote, “Thank you so much for the prayers, love and support. I’ve been released from prison, but I’m still in pain due to how I was treated. I just need some rest and medical treatment before I give out my own version of the event.”
Comfort Emmanson’s case attracted wide attention on social media after videos showed her arguing with airline staff before her arrest. Many Nigerians rallied behind her, calling for justice and fair treatment.
She ended her post by appreciating her supporters and asking for continued prayers, saying, “Thank you, my lovely friends and supporters. I really appreciate y’all from the bottom of my heart. God bless you all. Thank you, my great God!!!”
