    Tunde Ednut Shades Wizkid Over Private Jet

    Share

    Popular Nigerian media personality and influencer, Tunde Ednut, has stirred controversy online after throwing a subtle jab at Afrobeat star, Wizkid, over his lack of a private jet. The comment, made under a post celebrating fellow artist Davido, has since sparked mixed reactions from fans and social media users.

    The drama began after Davido announced on social media that his father, billionaire businessman Adedeji Adeleke, had acquired a third private jet. The news was received with excitement across social media, with many fans congratulating the singer and hailing the Adeleke family’s wealth.

    Among those who reacted to the post was Tunde Ednut, who shared his own congratulatory message to Davido on Instagram. However, it was a comment under his post that caught the attention of many.

    Tunde’s Jet Comment Sparks Outrage

    In the comment section, one of Tunde Ednut’s followers, identified as @jeremyahi, asked, “When you go buy your own, Tunde?”

    Responding to the question, Tunde replied:

    “After Wizkid by God’s grace.”

    The response was seen by many as a direct shade aimed at Wizkid, who is often viewed as Davido’s industry rival. Although the tone appeared lighthearted, it didn’t go unnoticed by fans of Wizkid, popularly known as Wizkid FC.

    Within hours, the comment section of Tunde Ednut’s post was filled with heated exchanges between fans of both artistes. While Davido’s fans laughed off the comment as harmless banter, Wizkid’s supporters saw it as unnecessary provocation and accused Tunde of stirring fan wars.

    Some users took to the post to call out Tunde Ednut for what they described as “habitual bias” against Wizkid. Others reminded him that owning a private jet should not be a standard for measuring success or greatness.

    @wizkidayomedia wrote:

    “Wizkid doesn’t need a private jet to prove his worth. He’s globally respected and one of the biggest exports out of Africa. Tunde should focus on spreading positivity instead of hate.”

    Another user, @iamthedeolu, said:

    “Tunde Ednut is always quick to shade Wizkid but won’t dare troll Davido. Let these artistes be. Success isn’t always about noise.”

    On the other hand, some users defended Tunde’s response, saying it was harmless and not meant to be taken too seriously.

    “It’s not that deep. People need to stop looking for fights where there are none. Even Wizkid won’t respond to this. He’s too big for this kind of drama.”

    @davido_fanpage9ja added:

    “Wizkid FC always feel attacked. Davido is enjoying his life and family wealth, and Tunde is just being playful. Nothing spoil.”

    Wizkid Yet to Respond

    As of the time of this report, Wizkid has not reacted to the post or the shade. Known for his quiet and often reserved online presence, the Grammy-winning artist rarely responds to social media jabs or fan-driven controversies.

    Wizkid, whose real name is Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, has consistently topped charts across the globe and is widely considered one of Africa’s most influential music exports. His hit songs, international collaborations, and Grammy recognition have earned him global fame and respect.

    Despite not flaunting his wealth online like some of his peers, Wizkid is known to own luxury cars, homes in multiple countries, and has signed multimillion-dollar endorsement deals.

    The rivalry between Wizkid and Davido  whether real or imagined  has been a topic of debate for years in Nigeria’s entertainment scene. While both artists have expressed respect for each other at different times, their fanbases remain fiercely competitive.

    This latest episode involving Tunde Ednut has only added fuel to the long-standing comparisons between both music giants.
