Popular Nollywood actor, Bolanle Ninalowo, has openly declared that he is “proudly bold” about his divorce from his ex-wife, Bunmi, shutting down recent rumours that he issued a public apology over the split.
The actor made the statement on social media while reacting to a post shared by Instagram blogger @yeye_kudi_courtroom, who claimed Ninalowo had apologised for infidelity and neglect, allegedly taking responsibility for the failure of his marriage.
But Ninalowo wasted no time in debunking the claim, calling it “nonsense” and launching a fiery response in the comment section of the post.
“You must be a mad human to post this nonsense! Very unintelligent and uneducated woman. Get the fuck off my case and focus on your cartoon existence,” he wrote.
He further clarified that he has been separated and divorced since September 2023, and has no regrets about his decision.
“I have been separated and divorced since September 2023 & proudly bold of it,” he added.
Ninalowo and Bunmi got married in 2007 and have two children together — Aaliyah and Morakinyo. Their relationship, however, has been marked by public ups and downs.
The couple first separated in 2019 following allegations of infidelity, but reconciled in 2021. That reunion was widely celebrated by fans, with the actor previously speaking publicly about working to rebuild their marriage.
However, in September 2023, Ninalowo confirmed that they had gone their separate ways for good, stating that the decision was made with love and respect, and in the best interest of their family.
Ninalowo’s latest comments come amid growing scrutiny of celebrity relationships and the pressure placed on public figures to respond to personal issues online.
The actor’s blunt response has sparked mixed reactions, with some social media users applauding his honesty, while others criticised the tone of his reply.
Still, Ninalowo appears unfazed. By stating that he is “proud” of the divorce, the actor is making it clear that he has moved on and expects others to do the same.
