Pastor Adeboye Calls for Global Prayer for Singles, Waiting Mothers

Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has announced a global prayer session specially dedicated to singles, waiting mothers, and families trusting God for breakthroughs in marriage and childbearing.

The announcement was made public through a statement by Pastor Oladele Balogun, Special Assistant to the General Overseer on Administration. According to the statement, the initiative is divinely inspired and aims to bring hope and encouragement to millions within Nigeria and across the globe.

Speaking on the purpose of the session, Pastor Adeboye said the event addresses a growing social and spiritual concern — the increasing population of unmarried adults and couples waiting on God for children.

“Over 40 percent of Nigeria’s adult population are unmarried or mature singles,” Adeboye said. “This is a vibrant but waiting generation longing for divine fulfillment. It is time for the church to stand together in prayer and intercession for them.”

The pastor also highlighted the unique challenges facing waiting and expectant mothers, describing their journey as both spiritual and emotional. “Across the world, there are mothers and families trusting God for children. This journey is sacred, and we must uphold them in faith and prayer. God remains the Giver of life, and He will visit His people again,” Adeboye said.

RCCG, which has a presence in over 190 nations, plans to unite believers worldwide in this special moment of intercession. The global prayer session is scheduled to coincide with the church’s November 2025 Thanksgiving Service at the National Headquarters — The Throne of Grace, Ebute-Metta, Lagos — on Sunday, November 2, at 8:00 a.m. (WAT).

Pastor Adeboye urged Lagos residents and those in neighboring states to attend physically, while international members can join virtually through RCCG’s digital platforms. “This will not be an ordinary prayer meeting. It will be a divine encounter — a moment of destiny for countless individuals who have waited on God. Wherever you are, connect with faith. God will answer prayers,” he emphasized.

The global prayer initiative comes amid rising challenges for singles and families in Nigeria and beyond. Many young adults are delaying marriage due to career, financial pressures, or personal choices, while numerous couples face fertility challenges. Adeboye’s call for collective prayer aims to restore hope and remind believers of the power of faith and perseverance.

Through decades of ministry, Pastor Adeboye has continually stressed the importance of steadfast prayer, faith, and patience. He encouraged believers not to lose hope, assuring them that God’s timing is perfect and His promises never fail. “No matter how long you’ve waited, God has not forgotten you. The same God who visited Sarah, Hannah, and Elizabeth will surely visit you,” he said.

Church members, pastors, and intercessory groups worldwide are already preparing for the session, describing it as a potential “prophetic turning point for families.” The prayer is expected to draw millions of participants across continents, reflecting RCCG’s commitment to healing homes, restoring marriages, and bringing joy to families.

In a world where emotional isolation, delayed marriages, and fertility struggles are common, the global prayer session is seen as a powerful reminder that collective faith can change destinies. It also reinforces the RCCG’s mission of offering spiritual and emotional support to believers navigating life’s challenges.

As the countdown begins to November, Pastor Adeboye’s message continues to inspire renewed faith and expectation. Through this initiative, singles and waiting mothers are encouraged to trust God, remain patient, and hold on to hope, knowing that in God’s presence, waiting is never in vain.
