The marital crisis between actress Regina Daniels and her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, has taken a dramatic turn, with Daniels alleging that the senator ordered the arrest of her brother and sister.
The 24-year-old actress shared the claims on her Instagram page on Monday, appealing to the public for urgent help. She linked the detention of her siblings to Nwoko’s alleged attempt to force her into a rehabilitation centre.
“Someone please, help me! I feel like I’m losing my mind. I never thought I would do this, but my big brother and big sister have been arrested. My baby sister might be arrested as well until I return and, according to him, return to rehab,” Daniels wrote.
The posts come days after Daniels reportedly filed for divorce, citing domestic violence as her reason for ending the marriage. In response, Senator Nwoko accused his wife of substance abuse, a claim Daniels denied.
In her emotional post, Daniels accused her husband of trying to control her and cast her in a negative light. “You said I’m a drug addict. What other name can you call me? A prostitute? Must things go completely south if partners are no longer interested?” she wrote.
The development has drawn widespread attention on social media, with many Nigerians expressing shock over the reported arrest of Daniels’ siblings.
Regina Daniels, who has been married to Nwoko for several years, has had a high-profile relationship that attracted public scrutiny, partly due to the age gap between the couple and their frequent appearances in the media.
The senator, a prominent businessman and politician, has not publicly responded to the latest allegations as of Monday. His office has previously defended him against claims from Daniels, dismissing them as exaggerated.
