A young woman in Ikorodu, Lagos, was allegedly stabbed to death by her ex-boyfriend early on July 10th, 2024.
The victim’s sister, Temitope Sadiku, took to Twitter to share the tragic news and plead for help finding the suspect, Fatai Mogaji.
Sadiku’s account paints a chilling picture of the events. According to her tweets, Opeyemi Sadiku encountered Mogaji at the Bells Bar nightclub in Itamaga and they spent time together.
However, an argument erupted around 5 am, and Mogaji allegedly stabbed Opeyemi multiple times. Sadiku states that Mogaji fled the scene after the attack and remains at large.
Temitope wrote, “On the 10/07/2024, my younger sister(Opeyemi) went clubbing at Bells Bar Itamaga along Ijede, Elepe, Ikorodu.
“She met her ex-boyfriend there and they went chilling together. At around 5am, they got into a fight and the ex-boyfriend ( Fatai Mogaji) stabbed her multiple times.
She was stabbed 22 times and he ran away. The landlord called the police. Please help me find this guy Fatai Mogaji.
“He killed her and wrapped her in the kitchen…Then locked the door, he was planning to come back and clean up.
“I saw my sister in her blood he stabbed her in the eyes, different body parts…Nigeria has happened to me God.”
Sadiku also revealed that she was yet to inform her grandparents. The grieving sibling uploaded a photo of her sister’s ex, begging Nigerians to provide information that could lead to his arrest.
Saiku’s tweets also reveal the emotional turmoil the family is experiencing.
The story has garnered significant attention on social media, with users expressing condolences and outrage over the femicide.
